Take the steps and footpath down past Highgate. When you cross over the river, take the slip road up onto the bottom of Claypath. Turn left and walk up the hill. 66 Claypath will be on the right side, approx 50 yards beyond the traffic lights, and the first house after the road off called Leazes Place. It is the only house with 4 steps and a railing up to the front door.
(Red line on map) Exit at Junction 62. Take the A690 bypass into Durham.
At the first roundabout, take the 3rd exit into Gilesgate/Claypath.
66 Claypath is approx 150 yards on the left side from the roundabout exit, as the road starts to dip downhill.
